and the winner is...
Before I tell you who won my arc contest, I will share with you, my precious readers, a haiku my editor wrote for the occasion.
Mama always said
Pretty is as pretty does
In the summertime
Isn't that lovely? Isn't that just so sweet? And in keeping with the theme?

long bike rides with friends
bugs a-glow in clear glass jars
slurping otter pops
